Suerrena Alexander returns to the South Plains College women’s track and field team as a sophomore for the 2025–2026 season. A graduate of St. David Catholic Secondary School, Suerrena brings dedication and athletic potential to the Lady Texans program.
She is pursuing a degree in General Studies while continuing to develop her skills and contribute to the success of the team.

South Plains College Women’s Track and Field has officially punched its ticket to the national stage, securing 31 qualifying marks as the Lady Texans prepare for the Outdoor National Championships in Hobbs, New Mexico.
With only two meets left before the NJCAA Outdoor National Championships, South Plains College Track and Field is not only loaded with national qualifiers but also nationally recognized, as the Texans sit ranked No. 2 in the nation and the Lady Texans No. 4.

The South Plains College Texans and Lady Texans wrapped up the 2026 indoor track and field season at the NJCAA National Championships in Topeka, Kansas. The Texans finished 5th overall with 58 points, while the Lady Texans placed 6th with 55.5 points, highlighted by national champions, podium finishes, and numerous scoring performances.
Entering the championship meet, the Texans are ranked No. 2 in the nation, while the Lady Texans sit at No. 7 nationally, positioning both programs among the country’s elite heading into the final showdown of the indoor season.
The South Plains College Lady Texans traveled to College Station on February 6–7 to compete in the Charlie Thomas Invitational, continuing their indoor season against a competitive field while adding to their list of national-qualifying performances.
The South Plains College Lady Texans competed in their second indoor meet of the season at the Stan Scott Invite and turned in another strong performance with several top finishes and national-qualifying marks.
The South Plains College Lady Texans opened their indoor season with strong performances and multiple national-qualifying marks at the Corky Classic at Texas Tech University.
