Oluwatumininu Sanyaolu joins the South Plains College women’s track and field team as a freshman for the 2025–2026 season, competing in the 100m, 200m, and 100m hurdles. A native of Lagos, Nigeria, Oluwatumininu is focused on competing at the highest NJCAA championship level, contributing to a national championship for the team, and continuously improving her personal times.
Her long-term goal is to earn the opportunity to compete at the NCAA Division I level, while developing not only as a faster athlete but also as a technically sound and mentally tough competitor. She is pursuing a degree in Business while leveraging the JUCO experience as a springboard to the next stage of her athletic career.

South Plains College Women’s Track and Field has officially punched its ticket to the national stage, securing 31 qualifying marks as the Lady Texans prepare for the Outdoor National Championships in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Entering the championship meet, the Texans are ranked No. 2 in the nation, while the Lady Texans sit at No. 7 nationally, positioning both programs among the country’s elite heading into the final showdown of the indoor season.
The South Plains College Lady Texans continued their indoor campaign at the Jarvis Scott Invite hosted by Texas Tech University, turning in multiple top finishes while solidifying their national-qualifying marks with one meet remaining before the Indoor National Championships.
The South Plains College Lady Texans traveled to College Station on February 6–7 to compete in the Charlie Thomas Invitational, continuing their indoor season against a competitive field while adding to their list of national-qualifying performances.
