Lady Texans Post Strong Performances at Jarvis Scott Invite
The South Plains College Lady Texans continued their indoor campaign at the Jarvis Scott Invite hosted by Texas Tech University, turning in multiple top finishes while solidifying their national-qualifying marks with one meet remaining before the Indoor National Championships.
LUBBOCK, TX - The Lady Texans were led by a strong showing in the 600 yards. Nour Rahou placed second with a time of 1:21.46, followed by Morgane Lenoir in fourth at 1:22.64 and Cheffonia Houston in 11th at 1:24.96. Rahou also competed in the 800 meters, finishing eighth in 2:13.61, while Lenoir placed 15th in 2:15.81.
In the 1000 meters, Jennifer Lozano earned a fourth-place finish with a time of 3:04.48, and Icela Swaby followed in seventh at 3:12.12. Alison Guaman added a sixth-place finish in the 3000 meters, clocking 10:38.03.
In the field events, Olga Lapuzova cleared 3.54 meters to finish eighth in the pole vault.
With one meet remaining before nationals, the Lady Texans have compiled an impressive list of national-qualifying marks this indoor season:
