Trey Huwa enters his sophomore season with the South Plains College men’s rodeo team as a heeler in team roping. A native of Roggen, Colorado, Trey was a multi-sport athlete at Wiggins High School, where he was a three-time state qualifier in basketball and football, while also excelling in rodeo as a three-time national qualifier.
At South Plains, Trey is pursuing a degree in Business Management while continuing to develop his skills in the arena and proudly represent the Texans rodeo program.

The South Plains College Rodeo Team had an outstanding weekend at the New Mexico Junior College Rodeo in Lovington, NM, held October 23-25. The Texans brought home multiple top finishes, with several athletes advancing to the short round and earning major titles.
