South Plains College rodeo athletes delivered strong performances at the Texas Tech Rodeo held October 30th-November 1st, with multiple competitors advancing to the short round and several finishing in the top 10 of their events.
LUBBOCK, TEXAS - South Plains College rodeo athletes delivered strong performances at the Texas Tech Rodeo held October 30th-November 1st, with multiple competitors advancing to the short round and several finishing in the top 10 of their events.
In the long round, SPC qualified eight runs for the short round:
- Team Roping:
- Trey Adams - 4.8 seconds, qualified 1st
- Jantsen Morris & Jayden Morris 0 7.0 seconds, qualifier 5th
- Kail Brunson & Trey Huwa - 9.0 seconds, qualifier 10th
- Breakaway Roping:
- Tiffanie McCormick - qualified 2nd
- Sierra Telford - qualified 8th
- Tie Down Roping:
- Jaxon Stoker - 10.0 second, tied for 7th
- Goat Tying:
- Katie Knez - qualified 5th
Short Round Results

South Plains College continued to prove its depth across multiple events as both men's and women's competitors earned short-round qualifications and solid finishes. The team will now look ahead to its next rodeo which will be at Clarendon College November 13-15.
