Damon Guidry
Assistant Track & Field Coach (Jumpers)
Damon Guidry enters his fourth year as a collegiate coach and his first year at South Plains College, specializing in the long jump and triple jump events. A former NCAA Division athlete with coaching experience at both the Division I and Division I levels, Guidry brings a competitive edge and technical expertise to the South Plains program.
Originally from Crowley, Louisiana, Guidry competed for the University of Louisiana from 2016 to 2021, where he developed into a standout athlete. He graduated from the University of Louisiana in 2021 and quickly transitioned into collegiate coaching, building a diverse resume across multiple levels of NCAA Track & Field.
At South Plains, Guidry plays a key role in developing jumpers into high-caliber athletes, contributing to the team’s continued national success. His passion for the sport and experience as both a student-athlete and coach make him a valuable asset to the South Plains coaching staff.
