Lady Texans Return to Action January 2nd against South Mountain

The South Plains College Lady Texans (7-3) will return to action on Sunday, January 2nd after a nearly one month layoff from competition when they face South Mountain Community College (2-6) at 3 p.m. CST in Phoenix to open up a three game Arizona road stretch.
On Monday, January 3rd, the Lady Texans will square off against a struggling Scottsdale College squad at 2 p.m. CST. They will then end the trip with a tough test against Pima Community College (9-2) on Tuesday, January 3rd at 7:30 p.m. CST.
The Lady Texans last played December 4th when they defeated conference foe Howard College 67-64 in overtime. Through 11 games SPC has four players scoring in double figures, and another just under, led by freshman guard Ashley Roberts with 13.9 points per contest in seven games. Lauren McKinney has averaged 12.4, Raely Parada has added 12 per game, and sophomore Kelsey Canavan has dropped in 11.7 in addition to pulling down 10.6 rebounds per contest.
