Texans, Lady Texans ready for NJCAA Championships
LEVELLAND – The South Plains College Texan and Lady Texan cross country teams are set for the 2013 NJCAA Cross Country Championships, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge, Iowa and hosted by Iowa Central Community College.
Men's 8,000-meter competition is scheduled for 11 a.m. and the women's 5,000-meter race will follow at 12 p.m.
South Plains will carry a lofty ranking on both the men's and women's side as the Texans are ranked fifth nationally and the Lady Texans are currently fourth.
Kaitlyn Henderson, J'Cee Holmes, Madison Kauffman, Brittany Letts, Desreen Montague,Sarah Peterson, and Atarah Segree will represent the Lady Texans this weekend, whileKennedy Chumba, Antibahs Kosgei, Isaac Clark, Jacob Clark, Colton Hollis, Jose Martinez, Michael Waller, and Cordaryl Whitehead will make up the Texan travel roster.
