Lott - who won the NJCAA Cross Country Championships in Ina, Ill. just last week - easily defeated the field of 62 women with a time of 1-hour, 24-minutes, 16.80 seconds. Lott's time bettered the next best finisher by 2-minutes, 41-seconds.
The Lady Texans just missed defending their NJCAA championship, finishing with a team score of 18 points, three behind Iowa Central.
Lott was followed by Katya Miroshnikova (1:29:41.30) in sixth place and Sarah Peterson(1:33.29.10) rounded out the team scoring with a 16th place finish.
Michaela Johnson (1:33:31.50) and Maddie Kauffman (1:33:31.90) also competed for the Lady Texans, finishing 17th and 18th, respectively. Melina Morantes competed as unattached (did not factor in team score) and finished 52nd overall.
The Texans finished 12th in the team standings and were led by Bretton Villarreal in 48th.
Iowa Central came out on top in the team standings with eight points.
The NJCAA Half Marathon Championships wrap up the fall cross country schedule for South Plains. The Texans and Lady Texans will begin their quest for indoor national titles in January.
