SPC Cross Country Invitational scheduled for Saturday, October 8

LEVELLAND, Texas - The NJCAA No. 5 ranked Lady Texans and No. 13 ranked Texans will host their only meet of the season Saturday, October 8, with the running of the SPC Invitational. Check-in for the meet will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the first gun will be shot 8:30 a.m. for the junior high girls competition. The junior high boys race will follow at 8:50 a.m. and races will then be contested every thirty minutes with the college men's 8,000-meter run being the final race at 11:45 a.m.

The Texans and Lady Texans did not race last weekend and are coming off solid performances at the New Mexico Highlands Jamboree.

Anyone interested in attending the meet should come to the Texan Track and Field complex. The races will start on the east side of the facility near the cage where the hammer throw is contested during a track meet and will loop around the pond on the north side of the facility as well as a nearby cotton field.
