SPC Cross Country to Compete at Texas Tech XC Open

LEVELLAND, Texas - The Texan and Lady Texan cross country teams are set for their second meet of the year when they travel to Lubbock for the Texas Tech Cross Country Open, held at Meadowbrook Golf Course. The meet is scheduled for Friday, September 17 with the women toeing the line at 6:15 p.m. and the men to follow at 6:40 p.m.

Both teams are coming off fine performances at the New Mexico Junior College Invitational and enter the Texas Tech meet ranked very high nationally. The Lady Texans are currently ranked fifth, while the Texans are seventh, respectively.

In addition to the host school, Texas Tech, other teams competing are Eastern New Mexico University, Lubbock Christian University, New Mexico Highlands, New Mexico Military Institute, Northwood University, Odessa College, Ranger College, West Texas A&M and Western Texas College.

There is no charge for admission to the event.
