Bio

High School:  Caprock High School class of 2008
Athletic Accomplishments at Caprock:  A three time MVP of the Caprock cross country team, Anthony was also a two time qualifier to the state cross country meet, finishing fourth in 2007 and 27th in 2006.  In 2007 he claimed championships at the region I-4A and district 3-4A meets.  Anthony also qualified for the state meet on the track, doing so in 2008 in the 3,200 meter run.  He won the 3200 and 1600 meter runs at the 2008 district meet.  Other Awards/Honors:  Three time Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Athlete of the Month for cross country, Amarillo Globe News Athlete of the Year in cross country, Amarillo Globe News Scholar Athlete of the Year, Finished fourth in the Caprock High school graduating class, and was a superintendents scholar.  SPC Athletic Accomplishments:  Earned All-American honors in the fall of 2008 with a 33rd place finishing at the NJCAA cross country championships in Spartanburg, South Carolina and then followed that up with a sixth place finish at the NJCAA Half-Marathon championships a week later, helping the Texans to the team title.  At the NJCAA Indoor championships in March, Anthony crossed the line in eighth place in the 3,000 meter run and also competed on the distance medley  and 4x800 meter relay teams.  He also qualified to the NJCAA Outdoor championships where he finished 10th in the 5,000 meter run.  The Texans won both indoor and outdoor team titles.  Academically, Anthony was named to the Deans list in the fall 2008 semester at SPC.  College Major:  Physical Education   Hobbies:  Listening to music and hanging out with friends   Personal:  Born April 16, 1990 in Amarillo, Texas, Anthony is the son of Ricky and Stephanie.  He has a brother, Rick (20), and a sister, Destiny (18).  Anthony's favorite athlete is Michael Phelps.
