High School:  Ossen High School class of 2006
SPC Athletic Accomplishments:  In the fall of 2008, Tallam earned two All-American awards.  The first was for his tenth place finish at the NJCAA cross country championships in Spartanburg, South Carolina where he led the Texans to a second place finish.  A week later he finished third overall at the NJCAA Half-Marathon championships, leading the Texans to the championship.  At the NJCAA indoor championships in March, Kipruto just missed earning another All-American award when he finished third in the 5,000 meter run.  He also scored points in the 3,000 meter and Mile runs, finishing seventh and eighth.  At the Outdoor championships he earned his third All-American certificate of the season with a second place finish in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, finishing in a season best time of 9:13.54.  Kipruto also had a sixth place finish in the 5,000 meter run and a fifth place finish in the 10,000 meter run, running season best times in both races.  College Major:  Nursing   Hobbies:  Singing, dancing, swimming, and cracking jokes  Personal:  Born October 11, 1988 in Nakura, Kenya, Tallam is the son of Evans and Costa Kangogo.  He has four siblings:  Credione, Matthew, Gladys, and Gada.  His favorite athlete is Usain Bolt because he is an inspiring athlete.
