LEVELLAND — The top-ranked South Plains College men’s basketball team fell to No. 15 Odessa College 65-64 in overtime Monday at the Texan Dome after erasing a six-point deficit in the final seconds of regulation. Trailing 56-50 with under a minute left, South Plains’ Koray Gilbert connected from the perimeter and trimmed Odessa’s lead to three with 32 ticks to play. Following a foul on the Texans’ Jonah Antonio, James Reese dropped in a pair of free throws that put the Wranglers up 58-53 with 24 seconds to play.
