"I chose to go to Abilene Christian because they're good friends with coach Green, and I have a lot of trust in coach Green and his decisions," Langston said. "Coming to South Plains was a good decision for me, because it gave me a chance to get a lot better and we have a lot of great coaches, and I think we will have the same success this year."
Being just one of two players to return from last year's conference championship team, South Plains coach Steve Green knows Langston's experience will play a crucial component for the Texans in 2015, and his future at the next level.
"Diamante is beginning his second season, and he's one of two guys returning from the team that won the region and were the runner-up national champions last season," Green said. "He came in here late last season, and fought hard and earned a spot and ended up playing as many minutes as almost anyone on our team. Hopefully he will be instrumental in us having the kind of season we would like to have again this season."
