South Plains meets Ranger College 3 p.m. Wednesday in opening round of Region V Tournament in Frenship

LEVELLAND — With the regular season in the books, the South Plains College men’s basketball team will open postseason play on Wednesday, March 7 against Ranger College at 3 p.m. at the Region V men’s basketball tournament at Frenship High School. The entire tournament will be streaming live and can be accessed by visiting spctexans.com and clicking on the ‘Watch Games’ tab at the top of the page. With an overall record of 20-8, South Plains enters the contest as winners of four of their last five and are 12-4 away from the Texan Dome this season. Led by sophomore Jordan Brangers, who leads the Texans with 15.5 points per game, South Plains will look to slow down the Rangers’ offense which is averaging 88 points per game.
