LEVELLAND - Darroneshia Lott won her second individual NJCAA national title in as many weeks when she crossed the finish line first at the NJCAA Half Marathon Championships hosted by South Plains College and the City of Levelland.
Lott - who won the NJCAA Cross Country Championships in Ina, Ill. just last week - easily defeated the field of 62 women with a time of 1-hour, 24-minutes, 16.80 seconds. Lott's time bettered the next best finisher by 2-minutes, 41-seconds.

LEVELLAND – The South Plains College Lady Texan half marathon team will look to defend the title they shared last year in Marietta, Ga., when they play host to the NJCAA Half Marathon Championships Saturday, Nov. 17 in Levelland. The women will begin at 9 a.m., with the men's half marathon race to follow at 9:15 a.m.

LEVELLAND – South Plains College and the City of Levelland will be hosting a major event this weekend when approximately 250 NJCAA athletes from across the country come into town to compete in the NJCAA Half-Marathon Championships scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 17.
Community races of 10,000-meters, 1- and 2-miles are also available. All races will begin and end at the Mallet Event Center located south of Levelland on US Highway 385.

INA, Ill. – Sophomore Darroneshia Lott became the second Lady Texan in as many years to claim the individual NJCAA cross country national championship and helped pace her team to a third place finish in the team standings.
Lott – who finished third in last year's race – cruised to a relatively easy victory, crossing the line 16-seconds ahead of second place with a season-best time of 17 minutes, 48.4 seconds.

INA, Ill. – The NJCAA fourth-ranked Lady Texan and No. 13-ranked Texan cross country teams will be competing at the NJCAA national cross country championships Saturday in Ina, Ill.
The SPC women will toe the line for the 5,000-meter run at 10 a.m., with the men following at 10:45 a.m. in an 8,000-meter race.
