
STEPHENVILLE – Ty Willick and J.W. Ery have punched their tickets to Casper, Wyo., for the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) June 9-15 as both qualified to compete in steer wrestling.
Willick entered the final rodeo, hosted by Tarleton State University, 30 points behind the event leader. A time of 5.0 seconds in the long round earned Willick 35 points, and he went into Saturday's final with a five-point lead, setting up a showdown between himself and Tarleton's Timmy Sparing.

BIG SPRING – The Texan and Lady Texan rodeo teams recently completed their ninth rodeo of the season when they wrapped up the Howard College rodeo, held April 11-13 in Big Spring. They will now prepare for their tenth and final rodeo, hosted by Tarleton State University April 18-20 in Stephenville.
South Plains had five contestants qualify for Saturday night's final round.

BIG SPRING – The South Plains College rodeo teams begin their ninth competition of the season today at Howard College in Big Spring. The Texans and Lady Texans have several up in the first round of slack that begins this evening at 5 p.m.
The season is winding down for the rodeo teams, with only one competition remaining following the conclusion of the Howard rodeo. Fans traveling to Big Spring will be able to see several Texans and Lady Texans compete, regardless of the session they attend.

SNYDER – The South Plains College Texan and Lady Texan rodeo teams competed in their eighth rodeo this weekend at Western Texas College, advancing eight to Saturday's final performance.
The action was highlighted once again by SPC's dominance in the steer wrestling competition, where J.W. Ery won his third buckle of the season and Ty Willick cushioned his overall Southwest Region lead in the event.

SNYDER – The South Plains College rodeo teams will travel to their eighth rodeo of the season when they compete at the Western Texas College rodeo April 4-6 in Snyder. With only three rodeos remaining, the Texans are currently third in the Southwest Region team standings, while Ty Willick has taken the lead in the steer wrestling competition following his victory in the event during the SPC Rink Bownds Memorial Rodeo March 21-23.
