BIG SPRING, Texas - The SPC Lady Texan rodeo team finished a disappointing eighth place at the Howard College rodeo held April 15-17 in Big Spring, but maintain a 178 point lead over third place Western Texas College as they enter the Tarleton State rodeo that begins today.

BIG SPRING, Texas - The South Plains College Texan and Lady Texan rodeo teams traveled to Big Spring for the Howard College rodeo and not even record rainfall for the area could stop the fine performances.

LEVELLAND, Texas - The 2010 High Plains Junior Rodeo Association (HPJRA) rodeo is scheduled for May 1-2 and will be held at the South Plains College rodeo grounds. The event will begin at 9 a.m. on both days and admission will be $4 for adults and $2 for students as well as children.

SNYDER, Texas - The South Plains College Lady Texan rodeo team finished a disappointing seventh place after scoring 90 points at the Western Texas College rodeo held in Snyder April 1-3, but still have a strong standing overall as they remain second with 1,958.33 points.

ODESSA, Texas - Carley Richardson earned 193.33 points in breakaway roping and barrel racing and Brittany Bell added 40 more in the goat tying competition to lead the Lady Texans to a second place finish with 233.33 points at the Odessa College rodeo held March 25-27.
