LEVELLAND, Texas - The undefeated South Plains College basketball team remains at No. 6 for the second week in a row, according to the latest NJCAA polls released Tuesday. South Plains (8-0) began the season at No. 18 in the pre-season poll and catapulted to No. 7 after defeating two top-10 teams in Midland November 11-12. They then moved to No. 6 last week.
South Plains College has three games remaining on their 2011 fall schedule and all will take place Thursday through Sunday at the Texan Dome. First up for the SPC men is the University of Chihuahua Thursday night at 6:30 p.m.
Four games will take place at the Texan Dome on Friday and Saturday as the Texans will be hosting the Texan Classic. South Plains is scheduled to play Coastal Bend College (6-3) at 6:30 p.m. and will then close out their final home game of 2011 with a 2 p.m. showdown against Clarendon (7-5) on Saturday.
Other games included New Mexico Military (5-5) squaring off with Clarendon at 4:30 p.m. Friday. New Mexico Military will face Coastal Bend at 12 p.m. Saturday.
