LEVELLAND, Texas - The No. 7 ranked South Plains College Texan basketball team will play at home inside the friendly confines of the Texan Dome for the first time this season when they host the SPC Classic November 18-19. South Plains College will host Odessa College, State Fair Community College, and Collin County Community College.
On Friday, the Texans (4-0) will put their undefeated record on the line against the Roadrunners of State Fair Community College at 6:30 p.m. State Fair, located in Sedalia, Mo., enters with a record of 2 wins and 4 losses but should be taken very seriously as they played fourth-ranked Indian Hills Community College closely on November 8. Three of their four losses have been within five points and their fourth loss was against No. 2 ranked Coffeyville Community College on November 5. This will be the first time Texan coach Steve Green has faced the Roadrunners as head coach of South Plains College.
Collin County (5-1) will visit the Texans Saturday, November 19 at 2 p.m. The Texans have lost their last two meetings with the Cougars, but Green owns a record of 13-4 against Collin in his South Plains College career.
