
LEVELLAND, Texas - Texan basketball players Greg Gainey and Stanton Kidd will make official their plans to continue their academic and athletic pursuits at 12:15 p.m. Thursday afternoon, November 11 in the Texan Club lounge located inside the Texan Dome. Anyone who wishes to be present is invited to attend.
Gainey, a 6-foot, 5-inch forward from Dayton, Ohio, led the
Texans in scoring during the 2010-11 season with 14.2 points per game and was
second on the roster with 5.5 rebounds per game. Gainey also shot just over 62.2-percent from
the field and started 25-of-29 games played. For his efforts, Gainey was named to the All-WJCAC First Team as well as the All-Region 5 team.
Kidd, the 6-7 native of Baltimore, Md. averaged a team best 5.9 rebounds a year ago and averaged 7.9 points while playing 23-minutes per contest. He recorded three double-doubles and had a season high of 14 rebounds against Frank Phillips College and 17 points versus New Mexico Junior College.
Gainey and Kidd helped lead the Texans to the Region 5 tournament for the eleventh consecutive season.
