LONDON, England - Former Texan 400 meter standout Rondell
Bartholomew will once again toe the line against some of the best competition
the world has to offer over 400 meters Friday in the Aviva London Grand Prix
Diamond League Meeting. The event will be
streamed over the internet at www.universalsports.com
beginning at 1 p.m. Central Standard Time.
Bartholomew, who will be running out of lane two, will run at
approximately 2:27 p.m. CST and 8:27 p.m. local time in London.
Bartholomew will look to improve upon a somewhat disappointing
performance last week when a slow start out of the blocks resulted in a fifth
place finish and a time of 45.32 seconds.
Bartholomew still owns the fastest time run over 400 meters in 2011 with
his time of 44.65 seconds attained in early April.
Notable competitors entered in tomorrow's 400 meter event
include Bartholomew's countryman from Grenada and 2011 NCAA champion running
for the University of Alabama, Kirani James; former Texas A&M standout Tabarie
Henry will run inside of Bartholomew in lane one; Chris Brown, a veteran from
the Bahamas will run outside of Bartholomew in lane three while the winner of
last week's meeting in Stockholm, Jermaine Gonzales of Jamaica, will compete
out of lane four.
