LEVELLAND, Texas - Six-time NJCAA national track and field champion Rondell Bartholomew is scheduled to race in the Diamond League 400 meter event Saturday at the Adidas Grand Prix held at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island in New York City.
Bartholomew will take on a star studded field that includes Olympic gold medalist Jeremy Wariner as well as former South Plains College Texan and 2009 World bronze medalist Renny Quow. Bartholomew's season best time of 44.65 seconds run in April is the fastest run in the world so far this year.
The Adidas Grand Prix is the sixth stop on the international Diamond League circuit and is considered by many to be one of the premier outdoor track and field invitational events. The 400 meter dash is scheduled to begin at 3:13 p.m. EST.
