LEVELLAND, Texas - The South Plains College Texans and Lady Texans hosted their final regular season meet of the 2011 season Saturday afternoon and had several athletes perform well in events they do not generally compete in. Anthony May competed in the high jump, as he normally would, and broke the 1982 school record of 7 feet, 2 inches set by Greg Gonsalves. May cleared 7-03 on his second attempt and is now tied for the best jump in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

The Texans and Lady Texans will complete their final exams before they depart for the national meet in Hutchinson, Kan. that will be contested May 19-21.
