LUBBOCK, Texas - The South Plains College Texans (17-12, 6-8) enter the 2011 Region 5 basketball tournament as the No. 4 seed from the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC) and will face North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) champion and NJCAA No. 13 ranked McLennan (26-4, 12-2). After dropping their second conference game to Collin County, the Highlanders cruised through the rest of their schedule by winning 11 of their final 12 games to claim the NTJCAC crown.
