The Lady Texans (16-8, 6-4), who will warm up in pink t-shirts for the ‘Think Pink' event, are looking to bounce back from a 63-59 loss to Odessa on Monday night and currently sit in third place within the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC) standings. Frank Phillips (4-22, 0-9), meanwhile, is still searching for their first conference victory. South Plains won their January 24 meeting against the Lady Plainsmen by the score of 71-63.
The Texans (14-12, 3-8) look to snap a five game losing streak and climb back into the hunt for a berth to next month's Region 5 tournament. With only three conference games remaining, time is running out for South Plains who find themselves tied with Frank Phillips (11-16, 3-8) for sixth place. The Plainsmen won the last meeting between the teams when they defeated the Texans 84-80 on January 24 in Borger.
South Plains and Frank Phillips both trail New Mexico JC (18-7, 5-6) for the fourth and final spot. Western Texas (18-8, 4-7) is also ahead of them in fifth place.
