The Texans and Lady Texans are set to square off with Odessa College tonight in the Texan Dome. The women tip-off at 5:45 p.m., while the men are slated for 7:45 p.m.
Coach Wyatt's squad looks to put some distance between her team and everyone else vying for the second spot in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference standings. The Lady Texans (16-8, 7-2) hold a 2 1/2 game lead over the Lady Wranglers (20-5, 4-4) and New Mexico JC (13-12, 4-4).
The Texans (15-9, 5-5), meanwhile, are still fighting for their post-season lives as they are tied for third in the standings with Odessa (20-6, 5-5). A win tonight will give the Texans sole possesion of third place in the WJCAC.
In an effort to promote breast cancer awareness, Covenant Hospital of Levelland is raffling off a Sony Blu-ray player to help raise money for mammograms for women in Hockley County. Tickets can be purchased at the main entrance of the Texan Dome for $2, or fans can buy three tickets for $5.
