The South Plains College Texans and Lady Texans are scheduled to travel to Big Spring tomorrow afternoon for conference matchups with Howard College.  The Lady Texans play at 5:45 p.m. while the Texans square off with the Hawks at 7:45 p.m.

The Lady Texans (14-7, 5-1) currently sit in a tie for first place in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference standing, while the Lady Hawks (17-4, 3-3) are in a tie for third position.  Howard began the WJCAC season by losing their first three games, but are currently on a three game winning streak that has pulled them back into contention for a berth into the Region 5 tournament next month.  The SPC women defeated Howard 51-44 on January 11th.

The Texans (14-7, 3-3)  are winners of three games in a row and look to improve their record against Howard College (19-2, 6-1) who is ranked sixth in the latest NJCAA poll.
