LEVELLAND, Texas - Sophomore Sajoyia Griffin and freshman Lorie Romaine both had season high scoring nights while leading the Lady Texans (11-7, 2-1 WJCAC) to a 74-52 victory over Western Texas College (10-9, 0-3 WJCAC) Monday night at the Texan Dome.

Griffin shot 8-of-15 from the field, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc to finish with 23 points while also pulling down seven rebounds. Romaine scored her season high of 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting.

SPC jumped all over the Lady Westerners in the first half en route to a 16 point halftime lead, 37-21 and would increase the lead to as many as 32 points before settling with the 22 point victory.

The victory puts the SPC women in a three way tie for second place in the conference with Midland and Frank Phillips. The Lady Texans travel to Odessa on Thursday, January 21 to face conference leader Odessa College (18-1, 2-0 WJCAC).
